Travel

Getting there

By air

Batna airport

Mostepha Ben Boulaid airport (IATA: BLJ) lies about 35 km from the city, on the RN 75, and is served by Air Algérie: several flights a week to Algiers and connections to other cities of the country. Algiers Houari Boumediene airport (ALG) is about 300 km away in a straight line and some 400 km by road, and offers the widest range of connections in the country.

By rail

SNTF network

The SNTF runs a daily train between Agha, in Algiers, and Batna — about six hours and forty minutes — and the network links Batna to the main cities of the country.

By road

The RN3 and RN77 axes

Batna is on the RN 3, the road that runs from Constantine through Aïn Touta and Biskra toward the south, and the RN 77 carries the traffic to Algiers through El Eulma. The motorway “pénétrante de Batna” joins the east–west highway.

Stay

Accommodation

The organisers do not arrange accommodation and cannot reserve rooms or rates for the participants of the conference. Hotels in Batna and in the surrounding area take their bookings directly, so please book as early as you can, the weeks around the conference being busy.
